ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS OF STUDIONI GARDEN ROOMS.
Our environmentally friendly buildings are made to last a lifetime without any major maintenance (certified independantly by the BBA). A big source of carbon emissions is the heating, cooling and lighting of our homes and offices (accounts for 40.5% of all carbon emissions accordding to Kyoto protocol).
Directly addressing this, our particular type of construction, insulation, lighting and glazing provide a very high level of thermal efficiency. This significantly reduces the carbon footprint of the building’s entire lifetime. It also means that our customers save money and energy on electricity. The structure of our buildings is manufactured with a full British Board of Agrément certificate. This approval means that our specific type of SIPS system, which makes up the floor, roof and walls of Studioni Rooms, has passed rigorous tests for:
Strength,
Stiffness,
Fire resistance,
Thermal performance,
Air permeability,
Sound insulation,
Weather-tightness and
Durability.
So our structures, suitable as free-standing garden rooms, large buildings and extensions to existing buildings, have a life expectancy of 60 years or more. This strenuous certification ensures Studioni rooms are energy efficient and well made – excellent environmental construction credentials which we aspire to improve upon!
