Colin's story echoes that of many London workers. As a result of successful working practice he achieved a Directorship but had to work long hours and commute in London rush hour. There was little time or space to truly relax and recouperate. With quality of life suffering, he had constant worry over increased red tape, responsibility for employees and students at the University where he worked. Content with his flat in north London, where he enjoyed the strong sense of community spirit with his neighbours, moving was not an option he took seriously.
His flat wasn't able to provide him with the room he required for relaxation and he realised that a garden studio in place of an old shed could provide the solution. He knew he was in a conservation area and found out that planning permission would be required. It turned out that it was a mere formality in his case and was granted in 8 weeks with complements from the planning department on the efficiency, design and application received from Studioni.
From his first contact, every question was answered directly and in detail – even the technical ones - which he found other companies had been reluctant to do. "Everything about the new garden room has lived up to and exceeded my expectations. Every aspect from planning permission to the build and finish was handled so well that you have nothing to worry about. The build was quick and the quality of the building is excellent. The whole process from start to end has been highly professional and dedicated to my ideas and circumstances. The team from the design to the builders was reliable, trustworthy and listened to my ideas and concerns." See our options for relaxation spaces.
